After an early breakfast, travel to Madurai for a full day of touring. Stop by Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, the city’s top attraction and a revered Hindu temple situated on the southern banks of the Vaigai River. The complex has 14 gateway towers, or gopurams, ranging in height from 45 to 50 meters, with the southern tower being the largest at 51.9 metres (170 feet). Visit the Gandhi Museum, Pazhamudhircholai (Arupadai Veedu Temples), Thirumalai Nayak Palace, and Thirupparan Kundram Temple thereafter. Return to the hotel in the evening and spend the night there.
